“Groups” On OyeCubanos

In OyeCubanos, “Your Cuban Social Network” we have many “Groups” which are really “Clubs” and on this post I will be featuring 3 of them. I picked these three just to illustrate a point, not because they are the most interesting but only to show you the variations between them all, as a sort example. I will feature more in the future. A Social Network Website is a place where many smaller networks exist and “Groups” are the way they are created. Let me start off with the group named “Arte Cubano.”

From Arte Cubano Group:

This is a group for visual artists, art lovers, collectors or simply people who are interested in art. Artists working in any medium are welcome to join. The idea is for the group to share information about Cuban art, exhibitions, events and opportunities for Cuban and Cuban-American artists.

From Como Salimos de Cuba:

The main objective of this section is to tell the stories of cubans that left their country under the oppression of Castro’s regime,looking for freedom in other countries.

Cuban Geneology: This group deals with members which are very interested in finding out more about their family branch. They help each other in locating far distance relatives, very intersting!

About Doctor Casañas

Dr. Casañas is a Board Certified Internist and Board Certified Pain Management specialist who directed and owned three successful medical clinics in northern California for the last twenty years. After completing his training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Casañas moved to California. While in California, Dr. Casañas also trained at UCLA in Medical Acupuncture, which is based on the neuro-anatomical foundations of modern Western science utilizing Chinese techniques of diagnosis and treatment. Old Cuba Art: “It’s a Cuban Thing”

This OyeCubanos post will feature a very special website for collectors and admirers of nostalgic Cuban art and much, much more!

The Ambrosio Martin Art Collection of Old Cuba has been an ongoing family activity that has involved many years of procurement of collectibles of specific historical significance from circa 1855 to 1958 Cuba. The collection started by Ambrosio Orlando Martin as a photographer and art collector in Matanzas, Cuba depicts a wide variety of themes and artistic beauty of Old Cuba. The business in Cuba was known as Martin Photos, Matanzas.

We have been presenting Nostalgic Cuba, c. 1855-1958 for 13 years in the Dade County Area.  Our productions have involved restoration of artifacts that were in my father-in-laws collection.  He was from Matanzas Cuba.  Oil paintings are produced by George Gramatikos, aka El Griego, and depict themes of Old Cuba.  We are also very active in the Cuban/American community of Miami and donate our artwork to schools and institutions whose efforts are to raise funds for various causes and to introduce the Old Cuban Culture to 2nd and 3rd generation Cuban/Americans looking to appreciate and understand their heritage.

OyeCubanos Members and Cuban Restaurants

This post is directed more towards restaurants that are located in areas where there is a small presence of Cubans residing. These outstanding eateries provide and present the public with traditional Cuban cuisine. Now there is a another way where these Cuban restaurants can be noticed, appreciated and visited. OyeCubanos.com gives the restaurateurs this opportunity because it is built for that specific reason. You can create a group, make it public and start a forum within the group itself. Restaurateurs an also have group chats within their groups also. Not to mention, they can create a mini blog and post events also. Here are two examples from OyeCubanos.
